In a recent lecture on April 1 at Anninmuižas Secondary School for 12th grade students, project expert BSc Taisija Gricenko introduced the students to the ChromaQuest project and the importance of reusing bio-waste after juice production. Such topics as sustainable processes in chemistry and other sciences were raised, as well as the topic of high costs in the production of synthetic pigments. A small discussion about modern science was also initiated, in which the students could learn about the personal experience of the presenter, as well as ask questions about studying at the university, which in the future may give an impetus to the choice of profession for students. The lecture was particularly valuable for students who are still undecided about their future careers and provided insight into what science can lead to, from laboratory work to environmental innovation.
